Benavidez win on Morell

Boxing is a spectacle that doesn’t stop… it’s also big business.

This in our opinion was a great great match; a really incredible show; it seemed to us to see a version of the 70’s reproduced by today’s athletes, really a great great show.

Morell is a category below has risen because (wrongly and not a little in our opinion) in his category he would have been an invincible for much longer and would have reigned facing ordinary work…

but let’s go to the match; technical timing and exchanges of the highest level;

Benavidez demonstrated his superiority at the level of overpowering paying homage to us with some really impressive delicacies of craft… Benavidez showed his superiority in terms of power, paying homage to his superiority in terms of power by giving us a really impressive craftsmanship… he took off the guando with one hand to protect Morell and hit him with the other hand… you can do this when the difference in power is devastating and in our opinion it was… because Morell is a great taker (but this does not imply that he wants to take them) on the contrary… and the work that Benavidez did comes from the fact that at some stages Morell was really so closed that he did not realise what was happening…

The thing that impressed us was me coming out of some really difficult situations…while David carried the series and after having unloaded Morell managed to put it back and this was really from another era; because the superiority at the level of power expressed by Benavidez was disarming, and at the same time the technical ability combined with Morell’s unique characteristics of coming back into the limelight after having suffered some deadly blows.

Let’s go back to our boxing reality; in our opinion, Morell’s staff underestimated Benavidez’s capabilities in his weight class…in our opinion the physical gap was disarming it outclassed the technical one where Morell paradoxically is superior…

this is the practical proof that when you go up in category and you don’t have a devastating punch you have to evaluate well the risks going up. . and in our opinion Morell’s team has really made a big mistake…we don’t know the history of this guy well but we were sorry to see him lose, not because he couldn’t fight, on the contrary, but because of his physical limit of power, something that whoever is at the anoglo must know…

having said that Benavidez in our opinion is inferior to both Bertebiev and Bivol but this is another story…
