Garcia King was back in action, against a discreet opponent Duarte, who in the eighth round succumbed to the blows of the American boy; who in our opinion is still in search of his own identity…he has punch but the defence is lean not shrewd, inappropriate and ineffective given the role he should occupy and the level of adversaries he should face.

Elsewhere in the world the umpteenth defeat of Conlan, whom everyone is trying to pump up, or at least has tried to, given his Olympic medal, but professionalism is something else … and his latest defeats prove it; the boy has no cin, and someone should stop him before he gets seriously hurt.

Marsili is from Civitavecchia and we met him about 25 years ago Yesterday against a good opponent he lost his EBU title making an excellent impression, he would not have won (on points they would have given the match to the Englishman) but he made a great match until it lasted (at the eighth an injury to the shoulder made him forfeit). … putting a younger, taller boxer in trouble;… a real pity we couldn’t have given this man a European opportunity years ago… but thanks Emiliano for the show and who knows… good luck.
