Nice Job Eubank Jr

Yes this is what it is all about, a pugilistic masterpiece. Against all odds, Eubank Jr demolished Smith (a far cry from the Smith of the first match, but that was also due to the work done by the winner). Combination work and then clinch… a clinch from which Smith never managed to get out of, waiting to try and land a strong blow, which never came.

A lot of movement and a lot of blows; from several angles and then the short clinch to avoid the opponent’s comeback; the referee let a lot go, but that’s OK. Smith took so many blows and above all seemed to be bridled, we don’t know if there was something physically wrong; he couldn’t or didn’t really manage to react to move and dodge and come back, and it was really easy for Eubank; there’s not much to say, he certainly isn’t the kind of opponent we expected in the ring, in fact the result was unequivocal. First takedown in the fourth, stoic resistance in the fifth and then a rampant difference in the blows, an unstoppable march that of the winner; up to the tenth where there was a count then the action resumed but the referee interrupted given the passive defence…

Nothing to say for this beautiful victory, we would like to know if Smith was in fighting condition, he looked static, certainly not the fighter we know, but history has been written bravo Eubank Jr, who knows if there will be a third challenge…
