Buatsi big win WBA supermiddle, Richards win with De Carolis EBU supermiddle.

Manchester Arena with the collaboration of SKY and DAZN and Matchroom two title bouts were held. The highlight, the WBA supermedium title, saw on the one hand the former Olympian (originally from Ghana), English for all intents and purposes Joshua Buatsi against Dos Santos, one of those guys who has the numbers theoretical (without taking anything away from the English champion) but not practical to deal with such a force of nature, such Joshua that the fourth round has swept him away, to remember that his palmares sees (14.12ko); we will see him projected on more probing engagements, and who knows probably even on the other side of the ocean in due time.

The match before the main event saw our own Giovanni De Carolis against Lerrone Richards.(premise is that we love our Italian boxers and athletes and would like to see them on top of the world; Giovanni was a world champion).

Tonight we have seen a bad figure of our champion, in front of him a nice guy, very technical, very mobile and fortunately not endowed with great punch; but he has dominated our Giovanni, a distant relative of what we are used to see.Game plan, that is tactics to follow completely wrong, and this is not his fault, wrong athletic preparation. Giovanni has been a world champion and although he has faced a thousand battles, in our opinion is not what we saw tonight. We hope for him a period of rest and reflection, because either we change something or there is not much to do.

Back to the match Richards is a very good guy, very smart, very tactical, intelligent, he doesn’t hurt and this will be a big limitation for him overseas, but he is very mobile, he brings shots from all angles and he is really very fast; and we will see how Matchroom will manage him; for now congratulations to him, very good performance last night.
