Smith against Vlasov

It ended a few hours ago the fight between the American Joe Smith Jr and Maxim Vlasov, WBO lighheavy.

The law, a little bit of numbers, gave the victory to the American, who certainly brought the cleanest and most powerful blows, (but in totatle less than Maxim) and in our opinion had not won, because the victory of the shots went to Vlasov, but we were in America and will not make much fuss, a draw perhaps would have been an honest result, we would have seen from the point of view of boxing a domain of the Russian, as technique, control of the opponent, holding the ring; (even if at some junctures we would have liked to see Maxim’s blows more incisive, and in greater number).

Smith seemed a little under the weather, perhaps a boy who arrived here without expecting it, perhaps the anxiety of performance, has also affected him, in fact he has not worked on the short and the average, has struggled to find a consistency in putting the shots, certainly has been rewarded the fact that he is American, who still showed a desire to do the match, Maxim perhaps we can criticize a very tactical approach, with strikes from incontrista, that here do not like a lot. If it had taken place in Russia, the result would have been different.

For Smith (Top Rank ESPN) there is talk of a match against The King Artur, who given his last match is not the one of some time ago, but in our opinion is always a Martian for Joe Smith, who given his heart, the ability to cash in and move forward, against the best pound for pound in our ranking, could really get hurt.

We will be watching to see what happens. We love the sport even when it makes us suffer.
