Yoka against Dejko

Tony Yoka , in Nantes, France two nights ago, defeated Joel Tambwe Djeko.

Yoka (10-0, 8 KO’s) won all the rounds, except the first one, against Djeko (17-3-1, 8 KO’s), who turned his back, when there was little more than a minute to the end of the last round; but the action of the Frenchman seemed not to want to end anymore and Djeko, blatantly signed for the takedown, and the match was stopped.

It was a good match, because we have seen exchanges between heavyweights, the Belgian has put back the shots, was always and constantly behind as quantity, but was always present, has committed the Frenchman, here, who had to work and be always present to get the victory.

Yoka won an Olympiad against Joyce, as an amateur; watching the match it is clear that he does not have the power to aspire to become world champion, but with the right moves and the right signature at the right time, after last night’s performance it could happen.

We have seen a French boy careful, diligent, willing, maybe too much frontal, when he brings the shots, but also very careful in defense, against a man who knows how to do his job, at these levels.

Yoka, has really demonstrated round after round that he wants to win, and his action has been slow, merciless and demolition, it was like a caterpillar that must pierce a mountain, and the Belgian has resisted almost twelve rounds, really good match, I repeat for these levels of heavyweights; the Frenchman has taken a step forward but the road is long, for him who does not have this kd punch, and is uphill, but he is young, we have never counted him among the big prospects but he can be there, even if in the back, I repeat for those who saw the match was a good match.

watchful careful defense, something to revise though, as it is also stopped on the trunk finished putting the series, frontal and brash, but careful and beautiful series that brings, in the left. followed by the right, a little too much strength with that right hook wide. but I repeat in a weekend without big matches, it was doubly a pleasure to see them.
